| Ramban police rescues 53 bovine animals under operation "Kamdhenu" | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Mar 13: On the directions of SSP Ramban Sh.Anuj Kumar-IPS, Ramban Police acting on specific information about the transportation of bovine animals, various Police teams from Police Station Chanderkote, Ramsoo and Police Station Banihal intercepted four vehicles and individuals transporting bovines towards Kashmir. Upon inspection, it was found that 53 bovine animals were loaded in the 04 vehicles and subjected to cruelty without provisions for food and water. This transportation violated permissions from the Competent Authority.
As a result, a total of 53 bovine animals were rescued under the operation "KAMDHENU." Subsequently, FIR No. 38/2024 was registered at Police Station Chanderkote, FIR No. 30/2024 and 31/2024 at PS Ramsoo and FIR No 35/2024 at Police Station Banihal under Sections 188 IPC, and under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The investigation has been initiated into these cases. 04 persons arrested and 04 vehicles involved in the commission of offence have been Seized.
The successful rescue operation was conducted by Police parties led by SHO Police Station Chanderkote, Ramsoo and Banihal under the supervision Dysp Hqrs Ramban,SDPO Banihal, Addl.SP Ramban, with the overall supervision by SSP Ramban. |
