JKBS resolves child custody related matrimonial dispute | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Sabha held its meeting at Akalpur here today to discuss a child custody related matrimonial dispute. It was mentioned to meeting that the couple was married in 2014 according to Hindu rites and ceremonies. Untill 2015, their matrimonial life was quite happy and harmonious and had a son by the said marriage. After 2015, both husband and wife began to show neglect towards each other as a result, the wife taking her son, went to her parental home and since then she and her son (who was now 9+ years of age) had been there. The wife told the JKBS members that she now intends to send the son at her in-laws' home for further care and study. The JKBS members went to her in-laws family and persuaded it to take the custody of the son. Her in-laws family agreed to take the custody and assured that it would fully participate in his upbringing including health, medical, education and welfare. The mother therefore in the best interest of her son, entrusted his custody to her in-laws family in presence of JKBS members. |
