4/3/2024 11:06:29 PM
Early Times Report

Kalakote, Apr 3: Kalakote, Jammu and Kashmir: In a proactive initiative aimed at fostering awareness and sensitization regarding admissions under the National Education Policy (NEP) - 2020 through the undergraduate Common University Entrance Test. GDC Kalakote has launched a comprehensive campaign.
This endeavor, spearheaded by the esteemed Principal, Prof. Dr. Seema Arora, and meticulously guided by Senior Faculty, Mohamad Farooq Mirza, Head of the Department of Education.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Admission Committee of the college and the National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, who ardently engaged in reaching out to students from nearby Higher Secondary Schools of the peripheral areas of tehsil Kalakote, including GHSS Kalakote.
Their efforts were instrumental in acquainting students with the intricacies of college admissions through UG CUET exams, thereby empowering them to make informed decisions about their academic futures.
During the campaign, Mr. Himanshu, Convenor of the Admission Committee, along with Mr. Hilal Ahmad Reshi, a faculty member from the Department of Sociology, delivered enlightening lectures on the National Education Policy-2020 and the admission process through UG CUET across various colleges in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Their insightful presentations served to elucidate the nuances of the NEP-2020 and dispel any misconceptions surrounding admissions through UG CUET.
The campaign, held on 28 March, 2024 at the aforementioned Higher Secondary Schools, served as a platform for constructive dialogue and dissemination of crucial information pertaining to higher education.
GDC Kalakote remains committed to foster a culture of awareness and inclusivity in education, thereby paving the way for a brighter and more equitable future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
