Jammu, Apr 28: Vijay Kumar, IPS, ADGP Armed/Law & Order J&K, engaged in a productive interaction with the Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) of J&K Police and NDRF personnel currently undergoing training at Nud Samba. The purpose of the interaction was to strategize and enhance preparedness for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2024. During his visit, the ADGP Armed/Law & Order held comprehensive discussions with the core members of JKP MRT, focusing on various operational aspects and emphasizing the need for meticulous planning to ensure the effectiveness and vibrancy of the team. Under the leadership of Inspr. Ram Singh, Incharge of JKP MRT, the team is presently conducting training sessions for NDRF personnel. This training encompasses diverse areas such as mountain climbing, rescue and search operations, and live demonstrations of rescue techniques, including the extraction of civilians from avalanches and other calamities. In attendance at the event were Ms. Rashmi Wazir, IPS, CO IRP-12th Bn.; Shahzad Ahmad Salaria, JKPS, SSP APCR Jammu; Shri Vinay Kumar, JKPS, SSP Samba; and Shri Kuldeep Handoo, Dy.SP (Sports) APHQ J&K, among others. The interaction served as a platform to exchange insights, enhance coordination, and reinforce the commitment of the JKP MRT and NDRF personnel towards ensuring the safety and security of pilgrims during the Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2024. |
