Srinagar, Apr 28: Police have attached a property in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for its allegedly use by terrorists as shelter. Police on Sunday said: “A single-storey residential house located in Monghama Pulwama used by terrorists for their shelter and stay has been attached under UA(P)A Act”. Additionally, the house owner Mohammad Lateef Kar had allegedly provided all logistic support to the terrorism and also had links to terrorist activities, police said. The property is now under official seizure, prohibiting any transfer, lease, disposal, or alteration without prior permission from the designated authority, they said. This seizure is pursuant to FIR No. 315/2023 U/S 16, 18, 19 20, 38 and 39 UA(P) Act of police station Pulwama. “The seizure underscores the unwavering commitment of Pulwama authorities to dismantle terrorist networks and disrupt their financial support systems. Cooperation from the public remains essential in the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region,” the police said. |
