3 bovine smuggling bids foiled, 49 bovines rescued, 3 vehicles seized | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 2: Jammu police tightening noose against bovine smugglers under operation Kamdhenu Team of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli has foiled two bovine smuggling bids in which 32 bovines animals were rescued and 02 vehicle Truck (Canter) bearing registration number JK19A-4305 loaded with 16 Bovines & Truck (Canter) bearing registration number JK19A-3449 loaded with 16 Bovines were seized from Suketar Naka point. Two accused persons namely 1.(Drv.) Ajaz Ahmed S/O Bashir Ahmed R/O Gool Teh. Gool Distt. Ramban. 2.(Drv.) Ajaz Ahmed S/O Mohd Sharief R/O Gool Teh. Gool Distt. Ramban were arrested.In this regard,two cases FIR No.103/2024 & FIR 104 U/S 188 IPC 11 PCA Act have been registered in Police Station Jhajjar Kotli. One more bid of bovine smuggling foiled by Team of Police Station Nagrota in which 17 bovines were rescued and 01 vehicle Truck bearing registration number JK02BQ/2863 seized from ban toll Naka point. Accused Driver namely Karamat Hussain S/o Liaqait Hussain R/o Sagra District Poonch was arrested. In this regard, case FIR No.126/2024 U/S 188/IPC 11 PCA Act. 50/52/54/56 Transport of animal rule 1978 has been registered in Police Station Nagrota. Further investigation in all the cases are in progress. General public have appreciated the proactive approach of police against bovine smugglers. |
