Early Times Report

Jammu, May 2: BJP leaders are aggressively campaigning in different pockets of the prestigious Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha but they are not seeking votes for any particular candidate in this Parliamentary constituency.
After the completion of polling in the Jammu-Reasi Lok Sabha the BJP has shifted its focus on three seats of Kashmir Valley in general and the Anantnag-Rajouri in particular where the party has some stake after granting Scheduled Tribe status to the Pahari ethnic tribe.
Interestingly, everyday BJP media cell issues press notes of the leaders campaigning in the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha constituency but in these official handouts of the party, nothing has been mentioned about the candidate for whom the party is seeking votes. While addressing public meetings BJP leaders only criticized the National Conference, Congress, and the Peoples’ Democratic Party but they did not reveal the name of the ca

BJP’s general secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta addressing a series of public meetings in the border district of Poonch. In these meetings, Gupta said that the NC, PDP, and Congress betrayed the Gujjar-Bakerwal community and stole their rights for decades by depriving them of political reservation, and forest rights, and imposing a ban on inter-district recruitment.
“NC, Congress, and PDP brought black law of inter-district recruitment ban putting the future of children of Gujjar-Bakerwal in the dark and even today opposing popular decisions taken in favour of Gujjar-Bakerwal people”, he said.
In these public meetings, Gupta and other leaders highlighted the achievements of the Narendra Modi government but they did not sought for any political party.
As BJP has not fielded any candidate in this Parliamentary constituency, party leaders are only criticizing the NC, PDP, and the Congress.
