Foreseeing defeat Mehbooba is in state of fret: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 11: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Saturday came down heavily against PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti for leveling baseless accusations on the government for stopping her party from campaigning. In a statement issued to media persons, the BJP stalwart leader said that the reason behind Mehbooba's restlessness is realization of PDP losing all seats in J&K. He said anticipating devastation in polls the PDP chief has gone into a state of fret and fume and is accusing her political opponents of sabotaging the poll process. He said that the people in J&K have understood the age-old tactics of PDP, NC and the Congress to hoodwink them again and again and therefore are in no mood to support these parties, which is making the leadership of the aforesaid political groups fidgety leading to statements that polls have been fixed, etc. He said that the reason behind the restlessness of PDP leadership is its anti-people policies in the past, because the party always swayed the public towards fruitless ventures and never focused on the basic issues of the people including prevalence of peace and avenues for prosperity. He said that people today are with those entities which are in line with BJP and its leadership giving sleepless nights to Mehbooba and her ilk, and the baseless accusations by these leaders is only because of this apprehension of defeat and embarrassment. |
