Jammu, July 4: A joint team of Army and Police on Thursday destroyed one 81 mm mortar shell found abandoned in bordering Khour area here in the city outskirts.
Police said that acting on an information from the local residents of the Dalheri Kaleeth that one 81 mm mortar shell was found in the area at Khour, police personnel team from Khour along with Pallanwala and army immediately swung into action and rushed to the spot.
The area was preserved and with the help of millitary forces, the mortar shell was destroyed safely, they said. |
