Udhampur, Oct 27: In a significant breakthrough, the Udhampur District Police apprehended two high-profile female drug peddlers from the Dabreh area, seizing 19.69 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession. Following credible intelligence reports regarding heroin smuggling in Krimachi, Udhampur, a police team led by the Station House Officer of PS Udhampur, Raghuvir Singh Choudhary along with the SHO of the Women’s Police Station Udhampur, conducted a raid in Dabreh. The raid, conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate First Class Udhampur, resulted in the arrest of Halima, wife of Bashir Ahmed, and Nishad, wife of Mohd. Rauf, both residents of Dabreh Morh, Udhampur. The police seized 19.69 grams of heroin-like substance during a search of the suspects. Following the seizure, a case has been registered under FIR No. 433/2024 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Udhampur. Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the case, marking a determined step in combating drug trafficking in the region. |
