Reasi, Nov 9: The Indian Army recently conducted a Veterinary Camp in Balmatkote, Reasi as part of its ongoing efforts to support rural communities and promote animal health. This initiative aimed to provide essential veterinary care to livestock, which is crucial to the local agrarian economy. A team of civil veterinarians attended to over 364 animals during the camp, offering various services including vaccinations, deworming, nutritional counselling, and treatments for different ailments. The team also educated farmers on best practices for animal care, disease prevention, and sustainable livestock management. Additionally, free medicines and supplements were distributed among the livestock owners. This camp underscores the Indian Army's commitment to fostering strong relationships with the local population through civic action programs. By addressing the healthcare needs of livestock, the Indian Army aims to improve the livelihood of farmers and boost the region's agricultural productivity. |
