JAMMU, Nov 9: The Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Jammu, today celebrated its annual day amid high gaiety and fanfare. Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare, Sheetal Nanda, was the chief guest on the occasion. The students presented drills and a street play highlighting the theme that sports and culture are an integral part of human life that shape and reflect societal aspirations. They unify and transcend narrow human barriers and prejudices, resonating the loudest, thus, becoming two sides of the same coin. The creative brilliance of students shone through their mesmerizing performances of dances and drama. The Commissioner Secretary and guests and sisters honoured the winners of various games from the recently celebrated Sports Day. Sheetal Nanda, in her address, admired students’ exceptional performance and recognized the School’s outstanding efforts in promoting holistic education. During their addresses, the guests, too, praised the students for their impressive accomplishments and extolled the efforts of the School in its relentless pursuit of comprehensive education. The event was graced by the presence of special guests including Retired Rev. Bishop Ivan Pereira, Bishop of Jammu-Srinagar Diocese, Sr. Aurea Dias, PBVM, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Director, School Education, Jammu and Vickrant Mahajan, Founder Super positivity Foundation while Dr. Komal Nagar, Professor, Business School, University of Jammu and Dr. Sapna Sangra, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, University of Jammu were the Guests of Honour. |
