Leh, Nov 9: This Diwali, in a heartwarming initiative to bring light to the lives of underprivileged children in Ladakh, the Fire & Fury Signallers renewed their commitment to empowering local youth through education. Under the ambit of Operation Sadbhavna, scholarships are being awarded to needy students, enabling them to pursue education at prestigious Army Public Schools (APS) in Beas and Noida. This noble effort reflects the Indian Army's dedication to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has access to quality education and the opportunity to build a brighter future. By integrating the civilian population of Ladakh region with the national mainstream, the Army strives to foster unity and understanding among the local communities. Children from Kargil, Karu, Kiari, and other nearby areas undergo a basic entrance exam, and those selected receive comprehensive support, including coverage for books, boarding, and tuition fees. This initiative also underscores the Army's mission to build empathy and trust with Ladakh's communities by winning hearts and minds. As these children step into classrooms, they carry with them the hope and support of a nation that believes in their potential. |
