MAJALTA, Dec 19: Majalta, December 19, 2024: Government Degree College (GDC) Majalta organized a thought-provoking symposium on Gandhian Ideology under the leadership of the college Principal Prof. (Dr) Shalini Sharma. The event aimed to foster a deeper understanding of Mahatma Gandhi's principles of truth, non-violence, and simplicity, and their relevance in the modern world.
The symposium witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty. Esteemed jury members, Dr. Naresh Kumar, Prof. Kamal Jeet, and Prof. Dalip Kumar brought their expertise to the event, enriching its intellectual depth. Students delivered compelling presentations on Gandhian philosophy, exploring its influence on contemporary social, political, and environmental issues.
Deepika Sharma secured the first position for her insightful presentation, followed by Isha Rani and Kajal, who claimed the second and third prizes, respectively. Their ability to connect Gandhian principles to present-day challenges was highly appreciated.
