Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 19: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Divisional Office Jammu, successfully conducted a 4-day School Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) on creating a conducive school environment (Phase-II) from 16th to 19th December. The programme, aimed at empowering school principals with knowledge and skills on educational planning, management, and leadership, was held under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director of SCERT J&K, and attended by 50 principals from higher secondary schools across ten districts of Jammu Division. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT Jammu Division, along with Smt. Makhni Devi, Principal of DIET Jammu, and other dignitaries. Mrs. Makhni Devi praised SCERT's efforts in fostering transformative leadership through the SLDP initiative, emphasizing the importance of a positive school environment for student growth and academic success. During the programme, key experts delivered insightful sessions on various topics, including PFMS, GeM, Soft Skills, Income Tax rules, School Leadership, Cyber Security, Gender Sensitization, and National Initiatives. The event also featured a field visit to the Amar Mahal Museum to promote education and preserve cultural heritage. The programme concluded with a valedictory function, where certificates were awarded to the participants.
