Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 19: The Food Safety Department, J&K, organized a one-day interaction cum workshop on "Eat Right Initiatives and FSS Regulation" at BBIA Bhawan. The event aimed to engage the Food Business Fraternity and various departmental representatives. Hashmat Ali Yatoo (IAS), Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration, J&K, attended the workshop and interacted with participants, including members from ICDS and other departments. He also inaugurated stalls displayed by departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, and ICDS, along with BBIA member units like Sarveshwar Overseas Mills, VKC Nuts, and Farm Fresh Milk. BBIA President Sh. Lalit Mahajan welcomed the Commissioner and highlighted industrial sector issues, including road freight subsidies for exploring domestic and international markets for food and pharma products. The workshop included discussions led by officials and industry representatives, including Sh. Ravnish Gulati, Sh. Gagan Jain, Sh. Archit Puri, Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Jt. Commissioner Food Safety, and Sh. Madan Magotra, Dy. Commissioner Food Safety. During his address, Sh. Hashmat Ali Yatoo assured the gathering of the department's commitment to resolving industrial sector challenges. A camp for new vendor registration was also conducted, and licenses were distributed to new entrants. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sh. Viraaj Malhotra, General Secretary, BBIA. |
