MARH, Dec 31: Jagveer Singh, a Semester 1 student of Government Degree College (GDC) Marh, secured the first position in the Inter-College Quiz Competition organized by GDC R.S. Pura on December 28, 2024. The event was held in honor of the Martyrdom Day of Char Sahibzaade (Bal Veer Diwas), commemorating the sacrifices of the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Jagveer showcased exceptional knowledge and preparation under the mentorship of Dr. Gurleen Kour from the Department of Geography, GDC Marh. Competing against nine participants from various colleges across Jammu division, he excelled in topics highlighting the historical, cultural, and moral significance of the sacrifices made by Char Sahibzaade.
In addition to his quiz triumph, Jagveer also participated in a Poetry Recitation Competition during the same event. Earlier, he represented GDC Marh in a Poetry Recitation Competition held at GDC Bhagwati Nagar on December 26, 2024, as part of the Bal Veer Diwas celebrations.
Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul, Principal of GDC Marh, felicitated Jagveer and Dr. Gurleen Kour for their outstanding performance. He commended their dedication and efforts in bringing pride to the college. Faculty members and students also congratulated them for their remarkable achievements. |
