Samba police Cyber Crime Unit recovers Rs 1,07,500 in online fraud cases | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Dec 31: The Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of Samba Police successfully refunded a total of ?1,07,500 to victims of two separate online financial frauds. Complainants Rommit Sharma, a resident of Bara, and Abhay Khajuria, a resident of Jakh, both from Vijaypur, lodged complaints via the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. They reported losses of ?1,00,000 and ?7,500 respectively, due to fraudulent activities by cybercriminals. The CCIU team, led by an Inspector under the supervision of DySP Hqrs and overall guidance of SSP Samba, utilized advanced technical expertise to ensure the recovery of the entire defrauded amount. SSP Samba urged the public to remain cautious and avoid sharing personal credentials online or clicking on suspicious links. Citizens are encouraged to report any cyber-related issues immediately via the National Cybercrime Helpline at 1930 or through www.cybercrime.gov.in.
