JAMMU, Jan 3: Players from the Khelo India Soft Tennis Center at MA Stadium, Jammu, have brought glory to Jammu and Kashmir by winning medals at the 19th Junior National Soft Tennis Championships held in Chandigarh from December 27 to 31, 2024.
Soham Bhat and Shreemai Bhat clinched the silver medal in the mixed doubles event, defeating Madhya Pradesh's Nipun and Vaishnavi 3-1 in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Intekshika secured a bronze medal by triumphing over Maharashtra's Priyanka in a tie-breaker, with a score of 7-3.
The medal-winning athletes were trained under the mentorship of Indu Bhushan, an international soft tennis player and coach at the Khelo India Soft Tennis Center, MA Stadium.
These achievements highlight the remarkable talent nurtured at the center and the promising future of soft tennis in the region. |
