Bovine smuggling bid foiled: 7 rescued, vehicle seized | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 3: As part of its ongoing Operation Kamdhenu, Jammu Police successfully intercepted a bovine smuggling attempt in the Sub-division Nagrota. A police team from the Sidhra Police Post rescued seven bovines from a Mahindra vehicle (registration number JK06B/2419) en route from Narwal to Udhampur. The vehicle was stopped at a naka near Tawi Bridge, Sidhra. The driver, however, managed to escape under the cover of darkness. The rescued bovines were secured, and the vehicle was seized on the spot. A case under FIR No. 03/2025, U/S 223/BNS and 11 PCA Act, has been registered at Police Station Nagrota. Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the culprits involved in the smuggling.
