Srinagar, Jan 28: A Deputy Superintendent of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sustained burn injuries in a fire incident on Tuesday in Srinagar’s upscale Jawahar Nagar area, officials said.
The fire broke out in the official residence of the ACB officer, identified as Hilal Ahmad, on Tuesday morning. During the incident, the officer sustained burn injuries.
Ahmad was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, where his condition is reported to be stable, officials added.
Fire and Emergency officials said that the fire was brought under control, and has caused damage to the quarter.
Soon after the incident several fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
