Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Jan 28: The Indian Army successfully concluded a Youth Development Program in the village of Thanamang, Rajouri, which included classes on personality development, English speaking, and general knowledge. The program aimed to empower girl students to become smart, intelligent, and eloquent speakers capable of facing any challenges. The initiative is part of the Indian Army's Operation Sadbhavana, in collaboration with the Shri Shri Ravi Shankar Institute's 'Art of Living.' This training focuses on enhancing skills for appearing in interviews and further motivating students to take up competitive exams. It also seeks to instill a sense of nationalism and patriotism, enabling them to join the mainstream education system across the country and fulfill their dreams of becoming successful individuals and contributing to Indian society. The event was attended by local sarpanches and teachers from Darhal Block. The guest of honor was Capt Abdul Kabir (Retd), President of the ESM group, Darhal Block. The vote of thanks was given by Sarpanch Zakir Malik, who appreciated the Indian Army's initiative in empowering the girls of Darhal and encouraged them to excel in their chosen fields. A total of 30 students were felicitated with certificates for successfully completing the course. By offering such soft skills development training, the Indian Army is helping young girls break the shackles of traditional society, fostering independence and confidence, and empowering them to achieve their dreams, including gaining admission to their desired colleges and securing their ideal jobs. In addition to promoting the national goal of gender equality and improving the status of women in society, this program will bring about positive transformation in both the economic and social spheres.
