DGP Prabhat tours Kathua, reviews anti-terrorist operations
Asks security forces to work in close coordination, ensure security and peace

Kathua, Jan 29: Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday visited several police posts, including Machedi, Badnota, Sadrota, and Dugaini, in Kathua District to review security arrangements and ongoing anti-terrorist operations, a police spokesman said in a statement.
He said that the during his visit, DGP Prabhat interacted with jawans and officers of the Special Operations Group (SOG) Kathua-Billawar, discussing operational strategies and security measures in these far-flung areas.
ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, briefed the DGP about the ongoing anti-terrorist
operations in Machedi, Badnota, and Sadrota areas, where recent intelligence reports have indicated the presence of terrorists.
DIG JKS Range, Shiv Kumar, along with DDIB Jammu, SSP Kathua Shobit Saxena, , SP Ops Amir, DySP Ops Malhar Sukhvir Singh, and SHO Billawar accompanied the DGP during the visit, the spokesman said, adding that Brigadier T.S. Sekhon of the Army and Commandant CRPF, Arvind, also presented detailed briefings on the operational preparedness in these areas.
The DGP, according to the spokesman, emphasized the importance of coordination between the Army, CRPF, and local police forces to effectively counter any terrorist threat.
During his interactions with Army and CRPF jawans and officers, DGP Prabhat stressed the need for enhanced intelligence gathering and swift ground operations to neutralize the terrorist presence in the region.
He encouraged all forces to work in close coordination to ensure the security and peace of the area, the spokesman added.
