SUNDERBANI, Feb 7: In a significant move towards ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace, Government Degree College (GDC), Sunderbani, has implemented strict measures to prevent sexual harassment of women in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013.
As part of this initiative, the college has established an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) comprising faculty members, staff, and an external expert to ensure transparency and fairness in addressing grievances. To raise awareness, a workshop was conducted on February 7, 2025, where counselors educated students and staff about their rights and responsibilities under the law.
