Early Times Report RS PURA, Feb 7: The NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College (GDC) R.S. Pura, in collaboration with the Departments of Music and Sanskrit, organized Vasantotsav-2025, marking the inauguration of a 7-day NSS winter camp. The event was filled with vibrant performances, symbolizing cultural heritage and traditions. Dr. Chanchal Angral, NSS PO, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the significance of Basant Bahar in Indian ethos and the importance of the NSS winter camp in instilling a sense of responsibility among volunteers. The event commenced with Shloka recitation by Dr. Sanjeev Upadhyaya, followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana performed by students. Special musical performances were presented by Dr. Karanjeet Singh (GCW Gandhi Nagar), Dr. Rakesh Kalotra (GDC R.S. Pura), and Dr. Sanjay Kalotra (GCW Udhampur). NSS volunteers also showcased their talents through poetry, speeches, and cultural performances. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, the chief guest, emphasized the role of festivals in keeping students connected to their roots while fostering learning and positivity. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sanjeev Upadhyay. NSS team members, including Prof. Shifali Abrol, Dr. Akriti Parihar, Dr. Hari Singh, Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch, Dr. Savleen Kour, and other senior faculty, attended the event, making it a grand success. |
