Interactive session on celebrating Netaji's flame of patriotism | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 7: The Department of History at SPPND Government Degree College, Samba, organized a virtual lecture and interactive session on the subject "Netaji Subash Chandra Bose as a Freedom Fighter," featuring Dr. Suresh Garimella from VIT School of Social Science and Humanities, VIT Andhra Pradesh, as the resource person. The event aimed to educate students about Netaji's pivotal role in India's Independence Movement and his vision for a self-reliant and powerful nation. In his insightful lecture, Dr. Garimella highlighted Netaji's revolutionary ideas and fearless actions, emphasizing his significant contributions to India's freedom struggle. He also discussed Netaji's military strategy and leadership in forming the Indian National Army (INA), marking a turning point that challenged British rule and inspired armed resistance. The session commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Ranjodh Singh Jamwal, Head of the Department of History. He emphasized the importance of remembering and learning from leaders like Netaji, whose courage and vision continue to inspire generations and that students should delve deeper into India's rich history and draw lessons that can be applied to contemporary challenges.
