Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 7: An awareness programme on Bhartiya Nyaya Samhita-2023 (BNS-23), Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Mission LiFE, WAVES and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) was organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Rajouri. The programme was organized at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, BSF Campus Rajouri. On this occasion, Principal KV Rajouri, Vikrant Sharma, said that these kinds of awareness programmes on the initiatives of the Government of India should be organized on a regular basis so that the general public, especially in the far-flung areas like Rajouri, gets to know about the benefits of these schemes. SHO Rajouri, Abid Hussain Shah, said that the three new criminal laws-Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023-are an endeavor to make the criminal justice system more accessible, accountable, credible and justice-driven. He also spoke about the ill effects of drug abuse, cybercrime, Cyber cyberfrauds and cautioned the audience about responsible use of online facilities. Forest Range Officer, Department of Wild Life Protection Iftikhar Khan spoke about the aims and objectives of Mission LiFE and enlightened the audience about the National Afforestation Programme, National Mission for Green India, Forest Fire Prevention & Management Scheme, Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority under the Department of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Green India Mission, Har Gaon Haryali etc. He also administered the Mission LiFE Pledge. Sanjay Kumar PGT KV Rajouri spoke about Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Scheme of the Government of India. He said that India is a country of diversity. India has different religions, castes, colours, languages, festivals, cuisines, attires, cultures etc. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) program was announced by the Honorable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi on October 31, 2015, during the Rashtriya Ekta Divas to promote engagement amongst the people of states and union territories in the country in order to enhance mutual understanding and bonding between people of diverse cultures, thereby securing stronger unity and integrity of India. He added that the program envisions portraying the unity amongst cultural diversity of the paired states and union territories, as per the guidelines of Ministry of Human Resources and Development. As per this arrangement, Jammu & Kashmir is paired with Tamil Nadu, he informed. Field Officer CBC Rajouri, Vijay Mattoo, said in his address that the government is working towards the upliftment of the poor in the country through its various centrally sponsored schemes and programs and the pro-poor schemes like PM Awas Yojna, PM Jan Arogya Yojna, Ujwwala Yojna, PM Grib Kalyan Ann Yojna, Shishu Janani Surakha Yojna, Poshan Abhiyan, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, Khelo India, Kissan Samman Nidhi, DBT, Saubhagya Yojna, Har Ghar Jal, SBM, KCC, Stand up India, Start up India, Kaushal Vikas, Mudra Loans, etc. of the government have brought a revolution in the country. He also informed about the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, which will include the launch of WAVES Bazar, an e-marketplace to bring together creators & firms dealing in creative content. During the event, a drawing competition was organized by CBC Rajouri in which 25 students participated. Urvashi of 8th grade stood first, Daman Sayal of 8th grade stood second, while the third position was shared by Aleena & Aayan Mugal of 6th grade. Theme-based cultural items were presented by artists of M/s Chaman Lal Mattoo & Party, a private registered troupe of CBC J&K. |
