Udhampur, Feb 7: Udhampur Police today organized an impactful awareness programme at the University Campus, Garnai, Udhampur, aimed at educating students on the newly introduced criminal laws. The session, conducted by Addl. SP Udhampur, Sh. Sandeep Bhat-JKPS, saw active participation from students from various disciplines. The primary focus of the session was to highlight the key features and implications of the three new criminal laws recently enacted by the Indian Parliament. During the engaging discussions, students actively explored how these laws will strengthen the rule of law, protect the rights of citizens and contribute to a safer more just society. The session also provided a platform for students to understand significant topics such as Zero FIR, e-FIR, and the Witness Protection Scheme. He also explained the key differences between BNS, BNSS, and BSA, Udhampur Police remains committed to promoting awareness and ensuring the community’s active involvement in the ongoing process of law enforcement and justice. |
