SAMBA, Mar 1: In a decisive move against the drug menace, Samba Police has booked Ashwani Kumar alias Rinku, a notorious drug peddler from Vijaypur, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act. He has been lodged in District Jail Bhaderwah as per Order No. PITNDPS 07 of 2025 dated 27.02.2025.
The accused was actively involved in illegal drug trafficking, luring local youth into addiction and disturbing the region's peace. Multiple cases were already registered against him for supplying narcotics in Samba district.
The swift action by Samba Police has been widely appreciated by the locals, reinforcing the commitment to eliminating drug-related crimes from the region.
