JAMMU, Mar 1: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today emphasized that the BJP will play constructive role in the forthcoming Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, set to begin on March 3, 2025. He assured that BJP Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are resolute in their commitment to vigorously represent and address the pressing issues of their constituents during this pivotal session.
Addressing media personnel after participating in the 'Parshikshan Shivir' here today, Kavinder Gupta highlighted the BJP's strategic preparedness for the upcoming session. He remarked, "Our MLAs have undergone comprehensive training and are well-equipped to articulate the concerns and aspirations of the people. We are committed to engaging constructively in the legislative process to ensure that the voices of our constituents are effectively heard and addressed."
The senior BJP leader underscored the party's focus on several critical areas, including the advancement of developmental projects, economic growth, employment generation, security, stability, and the efficacy of social welfare programs. He stressed the importance of scrutinizing the implementation of infrastructure initiatives, promoting industrial growth, supporting entrepreneurship, enhancing security measures, and ensuring that social welfare schemes adequately serve marginalized communities.
Reaffirming the BJP's role as a constructive opposition, Gupta stated, "Our responsibility towards the citizens remains paramount. "He further emphasized, "We will hold the government accountable for its actions and policies, ensuring that transparency, efficiency, and integrity are maintained in all administrative processes."
The former Deputy Chief Minister maintained that by focusing on developmental priorities, economic growth, and the effective implementation of welfare schemes, the party aims to ensure that the voices of the common people are not only heard but also acted upon decisively during the upcoming Budget Session.
