JAMMU, Apr 19: In response to growing concerns over drug smuggling in the region, a joint inspection was carried out today at medical shops in the Gharota area. The inspection team was led by Tehsildar Bhalwal, Monika Sharma, along with SHO Gharota, Sunil Sharma, and Drug Inspector, Tajveer Singh. The surprise checks targeted all medical shops in the area, with a focus on scrutinizing medicine stock registers and verifying relevant records. The inspection was thorough, but no suspicious activities or irregularities were detected during the course of the checks.
Following the inspection, authorities emphasized that the Gharota area would continue to be closely monitored. They assured the public that similar inspections would be conducted regularly as part of ongoing efforts to prevent any illegal drug-related activities and ensure the safe and legal distribution of medicines. |
