Early Times Report

Srinagar, May 25: Father of a Kashmiri Pandit student, who died under mysterious circumstances in a hostel room in Chandigarh last week, has demanded that a FIR should be lodged to probe the death of his son.
According to the details available with the Early Times, Aaryan Razdan, son of Sanjay Razdan, 2nd semester BBA student of Chandigarh Group of Colleges Thenjeri Mohali was found hanging in his room on May 19, 2025.
A written complaint submitted by Sanjay Razdan addressed to Chowki Incharge, Police Chowki Majat, Kharar Mohalla, reads: “This is to request your good self to please lodge FIR into the death case of my son Aaryan Razdan son of Sanjay Razdan R/0 Ompora Budgam Kashmir. He was found hanging and dead in room no. 204 of the Hostel of Chandigarh Group of Colleges at Thenjeri Mohali where he was studying in BBA 2nd semester. “
“It is pertinent to mention here that my son Aaryan Razdan was harassed and tortured mentally during the course of examination which reportedly led to him committing a suicide in the hostel on May 19, 2025. It is hard to believe that my son could have taken such a drastic step as he had recently won various medals of excellence in sports competitions,” the complaint states.
“I humbly request the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and cover all angles and provide the investigation details of the instant case made so far,” the complaint adds.
Father of the victim, Sanjay Razdan, while talking to Early Times said, “I want justice for my son and the people responsible for him taking such an extreme step should be held accountable.”
