Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect
7/25/2025 10:29:50 PM
While addressing a Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program at IUST in South Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that J&K youth hold the key and will create region’s brighter future.
The Lieutenant Governor spoke about “Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program aims to create a platform where youth can share ideas, engage in policy dialogues and be inspired to contribute actively to India’s development journey towards Viksit Bharat.
LG Sinha’s statement is more than an inspiring soundbite it is a call to action. For decades, the young generation in Jammu and Kashmir has struggled with instability, limited opportunities, and lack of platforms to express their talents constructively. But recent years have witnessed a transformative shift. Peace has gradually returned, normalcy is being restored, and education, entrepreneurship, and innovation are being prioritized by the government. In this changed scenario, youth are not merely recipients of policy—they are partners in progress.
By choosing IUST a premier institution in South Kashmir as the venue for this dialogue, the message was also symbolic. South Kashmir has long been seen through the lens of conflict.
Today, it is being repositioned as a hub of intellect, innovation, and engagement. Such programs ignite confidence in the hearts of students and scholars, showing them that they are not forgotten or sidelined but are integral to the national vision of development.
The focus of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program on dialogue, policy awareness, and leadership is exactly what is needed to align youth with the national agenda.
It enables them to channel their energy into entrepreneurship, skill development, scientific research, environmental sustainability, and digital inclusion all of which are crucial pillars of a developed India. The LG’s vision reflects the Centre’s broader strategy to nurture youth as the demographic dividend.
But for J&K, this also has a healing dimension. Empowering young people with purpose and vision is the best antidote to alienation and radicalization. When youth feel seen, heard, and valued, they become engines of peace and progress.
