Early Times Report YOL (HIMACHAL PRADESH), June 11: On the 61st day of the ongoing 78-day Yajna dedicated to all four Vedas at the Veda Mandir, Yol, Himachal Pradesh, renowned Vedic scholar and Yogacharya Swami Ram Swarup delivered a profound discourse to devotees based on Atharvaveda, Kanda 6, Suktas 61 and 62. Explaining the divine message contained in the mantras, Swami Ji said that God Himself declares in the Vedas: "Aham Prithiveem Uta Dyaam Vivecha"-meaning, "I (God) sustain and hold separately the Earth and the heavenly realm containing the Sun and the Moon." He further explained that it is God alone who has created the two ears, two nostrils, two eyes, and one mouth in the human body. God is the revealer of truth and falsehood and the divine source of the eternal Vedic knowledge. Swami Ji emphasized that the Vedas contain the true description of the Almighty. Apart from God, no being possesses the power to create even a single leaf of a tree, let alone the vast and intricate creation of the universe. Therefore, mankind should strive to know the God described in the Vedas and worship Him alone. He further stated that God bestowed Vedic knowledge upon humanity for its welfare, for the destruction of sorrows, and for the establishment of truth in life. By neglecting and rejecting these sacred teachings, humanity has invited suffering and unrest into its existence. Highlighting the practical value of Vedic study, Swami Ji said that through the study and practice of Vedic wisdom, a person becomes the master of wealth rather than its slave. Vedic knowledge destroys sins, purifies the mind and intellect, promotes righteous living, and contributes to longevity and overall well-being. Calling upon society to reconnect with its ancient spiritual heritage, Swami Ji urged people to once again embrace the Vedic path, just as was done during the Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, and Dwapara Yuga. He said that by adopting Vedic teachings in daily life, humanity can attain lasting peace, prosperity, and happiness.A large number of devotees attending the Yajna listened attentively to the discourse and resolved to incorporate Vedic principles into their lives for spiritual and moral upliftment. |
