Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 8: The Indian Army organised a Marathon against Drug Abuse at Piri under the Sadbhavana Outreach Programme to spread awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote a healthy, drug free society. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 125 participants, including youth, students and local residents, who joined hands to support the message of fitness, discipline and positive living. The marathon encouraged young people to stay away from drugs, smoking and other harmful habits, while adopting healthy routines for better physical and mental well-being. The event also highlighted the importance of community participation, family support and responsible choices in protecting the younger generation from the menace of drug abuse. Civil and police officials attended the event, reflecting a united commitment towards youth welfare and social awareness. On completion of the marathon, the top performers were felicitated with medals, certificates and cash prizes in recognition of their effort and enthusiasm.
