Jammu, July 8: A mega langar has been inaugurated at the Tawi River Front, Jammu, organised by Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society to serve devotees undertaking the sacred Shri Amarnath Yatra. The langar was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu, Rakesh Minhas. On the occasion, the National Executive President of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society, Rajkumar Goyal, said that the society’s objective is to provide better facilities to Amarnath pilgrims and welcome them with a spirit of selfless service. He stated that free meals and other essential facilities would be provided to the devotees throughout the Yatra period. The event was also attended by the Society’s General Secretary, Manthan Goyal, and Parvinder Singh Happy. They welcomed the pilgrims and said that social service and humanitarian service are the core objectives of the organisation. They added that all volunteers would remain dedicated to serving the pilgrims with complete commitment throughout the Yatra. A large number of dignitaries, social workers, volunteers, and devotees attended the inauguration ceremony. Everyone prayed to Lord Shiva for the successful and safe conduct of the Shri Amarnath Yatra. Among those present on the occasion were National Secretary Vikram Siddharth, Vice President Amandeep Singh, Cashier Avinash Choudhary, Vice President Raman Vaid, Secretary Vikas Garg, Anil Gupta (Chamber of Commerce), Dr. Gautam Goyal, Dharampal Gupta (Pali), Kuldeep Luthra, Manpreet Singh, and other members of the society. |
