AKHNOOR, July 8: Sewa Samiti (Vrid Ashram), Akhnoor Organised Bhandara in Loving Memory of Late Dev Raj Wadehra (Founder), Late Krishan Gopal Gupta and Late Dr. Pardeep Gupta
Sewa Samiti (Vrid Ashram), Akhnoor organised a Bhandara at Main Bazaar, Pacca Danga, Akhnoor, in the loving memory of its founder, Late Dev Raj Wadehra, Late Krishan Gopal Gupta, and Late Dr. Pardeep Gupta.
Patron Dr. Tilak Raj Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. The members of the Samiti paid heartfelt tributes to the departed noble souls, who were dedicated social workers and played a pioneering role in establishing the Old Age Home at Hari Mandir Ghat, Akhnoor, in the 1990s.
President Rakesh Gupta welcomed the gathering and highlighted the life, vision and invaluable contributions of Late Dev Raj Wadehra. He also appreciated the significant role played by Late Krishan Gopal Gupta and Late Dr. Pardeep Gupta, whose tireless efforts led to the registration of the organisation as an NGO in 2001.
General Secretary Dig Vijay Bharti expressed gratitude to the people of Akhnoor and the adjoining areas for their continuous support in helping the organisation serve and care for the elderly residents of the Ashram.
Among those present on the occasion were Treasurer Tilak Raj, Supervisor Ravinder Khajuria, and Executive Members Ashok Khajuria, Sanjeev Sharma, Mohan Lal Verma, Virinder Mishra, and Divya Bhushan Mishra, who actively participated in the programme and paid homage to the departed souls.
