Jammu, July 10: One Day Civil Defence awareness camp was organized by Civil Defence Jammu at Ved Mandir, Bal Niketan, Amphalla, Jammu, an institution for orphan children, under the supervision of Dy.SP Tajinder Kour, JKPS, I/C Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. The programme was conducted with the coordination of, Sh. Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu and Sh. R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu. During the programme, around 100 orphan children and staff members participated enthusiastically. The participants were imparted awareness and practical knowledge regarding First Aid, Fire fighting, CPR and other life saving techniques to be adopted during emergency and disaster situation. A live demonstration was also conducted by the Civil Defence team during the programme. Sh. Nagar Mal Gupta, Secretary, Ved Mandir, Bal Niketan, Amphalla, Jammu, attended the programme and appreciated the efforts by Civil Defence Jammu in organizing the awareness programme. Sh. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden and Sh. R. Vijay Magotra Dy. Chief Warden, delivered lectures regarding the role of Civil Defence wardens during emergencies and disaster situations such as natural disasters, fires, industrial accidents, and other crisis situations as first responders. |
