Reasi, July 10: As part of its sustained efforts to strengthen civil-military relations and promote inclusive development in remote areas, the Indian Army organised a Gujjar and Bakkarwal Meet at Saldhar in Reasi district. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities, village elders, youth and local residents. The interaction provided an open platform for participants to share their concerns, developmental requirements and suggestions with representatives of the Indian Army. During the meet, Army personnel informed the gathering about government welfare schemes, educational opportunities, skill development programmes and employment avenues available for tribal communities. The importance of education, healthcare, communal harmony and active participation in nation-building was also highlighted.
