Early Times Report BARAMULLA, Sept 3: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar laid the foundation stones of several important development projects in Rafiabad, covering education, healthcare, public amenities and recreational infrastructure. The projects, involving a cumulative sanctioned cost of Rs 3.29 crore, are aimed at strengthening essential infrastructure and ensuring improved facilities and services for the people at their doorsteps. At Nowpora (Tujer Sharief), the Minister laid the foundation stone for the development of a Children's Park, to be executed by PW(R&B) Division Sopore, at a sanctioned cost of Rs 80 lakh. The facility will provide children with a dedicated space for recreation and outdoor activities while adding to the public amenities available in the area. At Bomai, Javid Dar laid the foundation stone for the construction of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Laboratories besides an Additional Classroom Room (ACR) at Boys Secondary School Bomai under Samagra Shiksha. The project, to be executed by PW(R&B), has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 1.44 crore. The Minister also laid the foundation stone for construction of a Mini Super Bazar at Bomai Zaingeer, sanctioned at a cost of Rs 55 lakh. The facility is envisaged to strengthen local market infrastructure and facilitate convenient access to essential commodities for the residents. In the health sector, the Minister laid the foundation stone for construction of a Sub-Centre at Goripora, Darapora, at a sanctioned cost of Rs 50 lakh. The health facility will enhance access to basic healthcare services and further strengthen the rural healthcare network in the area. |
