SAMBA, Sept 8: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, rescued 02 bovines and seized a Santro car used for illegal transportation of bovines.
Acting on information received from reliable sources, a team of Police Station Samba laid a naka at SIDCO Chowk Flyover and signaled to stop a Santro car bearing registration No. JK14B-4083 for its checking. However, instead of stopping the vehicle, the driver accelerated the vehicle and fled away from the spot.
The police team immediately chased the vehicle and in a coordinated response, activated another naka at NHW Supwal. On noticing the police party, the driver once again attempted to evade interception and ultimately abandoned the vehicle near Nanake Chak Bridge before fleeing from the spot. |
