| Indian Army organised awareness campaign on literacy at Banihal, Ramban | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Sept 8: The Indian Army organised an Awareness Campaign on Literacy at Government Higher Secondary School Halla, Banihal, Ramban on 08 Sep 2026 with the aim of creating awareness among students about the importance of literacy and education. The programme focused on highlighting the role of education in personal development, social empowerment and nation-building. During the interaction, students were encouraged to develop a positive attitude towards education, enhance their knowledge and make the best use of available learning opportunities. The campaign provided an interactive platform for students to understand the significance of literacy and its contribution towards building a progressive, responsible and self-reliant society. The importance of continuous learning, skill development and education as a means of achieving personal and professional growth was also emphasised. The event was attended by approximately 210 students and 10 members of the school staff, who actively participated in the awareness programme. The initiative received a positive response from the students and school authorities. The Indian Army remains committed to supporting educational initiatives and strengthening engagement with the local community through meaningful awareness and outreach programmes. |
