| Orientation Session on Advanced Entrepreneurship Development Programme held | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 8: An Orientation Session on the Advanced Entrepreneurship Development Programme (AEDP) of Skill Education, an important component of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, was organised at PSPS Government College for Women, Gandhinagar. The session aimed to familiarise students and NEP Saathis with the opportunities, significance and role of entrepreneurship and skill-based education under NEP 2020. The session commenced with Ms. Mahi Gupta, NEP Sarthi, who introduced the participants to the concept of AEDP and briefly explained its relevance as a pathway towards developing entrepreneurial and practical skills among students. She highlighted how the programme aligns with the vision of NEP 2020 by encouraging students to move beyond conventional learning and explore skill development, innovation and entrepreneurship. Following this, Ms. Aakrida Mahajan, NEP Sarthi, elaborated on the benefits and role of AEDP. She discussed the opportunities that the programme can provide to students and emphasised the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset, practical competencies and confidence to explore emerging avenues beyond traditional career paths. The orientation was further strengthened by an interactive session led by Dr. Jagmeet Kour Khajuria, Teacher Coordinator, Resource Person and NEP Sarthi Coordinator, PSPS Government College for Women, Gandhinagar. Dr. Khajuria addressed the queries and doubts raised by the participants and engaged them in an informative interaction, providing greater clarity regarding the programme and its opportunities. The session concluded on a positive and encouraging note, with participants gaining a clearer understanding of AEDP and its potential to contribute to their skill development, entrepreneurial thinking and future readiness. The successful conduct of the session was made possible through the guidance and support of the Patron, Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal, PSPS Government College for Women, Gandhinagar, whose encouragement continues to foster initiatives aligned with the objectives of NEP 2020. The organisers also expressed their sincere gratitude to Dr. Jagmeet Kour Khajuria for her valuable guidance and interactive engagement, and to all the NEP Saathis. Faculty members present in the Orientation Session included Dr. Taahira Shah, Dr. Neetu Raina, Dr. Ruksana Kouser, Dr. Pooja Charak, Ms. Sheetal.
