JAMMU, Sept 8: 05 Days Civil Defence Basic Training Course commenced at Government College for Parade, Jammu under the supervision of Zia-Ul-Haq-Dy.SP Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. The training programme was coordinated by Sh. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Jammu.
Around 100 Students are enthusiastically participating in 05 days Civil Defence Basic Training Course. The participants are being imparted both theoretical and practical knowledge on Civil Defence, Disaster Management, First Aid, Fire fighting, CPR, Search and Rescue, and other life saving techniques.
Principal Dr. Naveen Anand, Dr. Gurpreet Kour, Dr. Nitu Sharma, Dr. Atiya Syed, Prof. Anuradha Kalsi , Principal and other faculty members also attended the programme. The Principal and faculty members appreciated the efforts of Civil Defence, Jammu for organizing the training programme. They also expressed their support for such initiatives aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness and developing basic emergency response skills among students.
During the course, Sh. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Jammu and Sh. R. Vijay Magotra Dy. Chief Warden, delivered lectures on swimming and Floating aids, as well as role and responsibility of Civil Defence wardens and volunteers during natural disasters, fires, industrial accidents, road accidents, and other emergency situations as first responders. |
