| Jammu police acts swiftly, arrests accused and recovers snatched Motorcycle within 12 hours in Bishnah | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 8: In a prompt and swift action, Police Station Bishnah solved a snatching case within 12 hours of registration, demonstrating its commitment to public safety and security.
In this regard, FIR No. 166/2026 under Sections 126(2), 115(2) and 304 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bishnah on 06.09.2026.
Acting promptly on the information received, Police Station Bishnah launched an immediate investigation and arrested the accused, namely Harsh Bharat S/o Gulshan Kumar R/o Laliyana, Tehsil Bishnah.
During the investigation, police recovered one Toka and the snatched motorcycle bearing Registration No. JK02AK-8335 from the accused. The motorcycle was recovered and seized within 12 hours of registration of the FIR.
All requisite legal formalities have been completed as per law, and further investigation in the case is in progress.
