Reasi Aug 19 : A woman has been booked after over 100 litres of illicit liquor was recovered from her house in Jammus Reasi district, police said today.
On a tip off, a team of police personnel conducted a raid on the house of Jasveer Kour at village Kheralaid in Reasi district and recovered 104 litres of illicit liquor and around 10 litres Lahan (an ingredient for making country liquor), a police officer said. The accused woman managed to escape and efforts are on to nab her, he said, adding that the recovered liquor was seized and Lahan destroyed on the spot.
A case has been registered at Pouni Police Station against Kour, he added. |
