Kishtwar Dec 3: In a tragic incident a teenage girl died when the service riffle of her ex-serviceman father went off accidentally in this hilly district . Sources told Early Times Mutayba Kouser, 13, daughter of Shabir Ahmed Sheikh of Suzna Palmar, some 45 kilometres from Kishtwar, died when a loaded 12 bore riffle, of her ex-Serviceman father went off at his home accidentally. Sources said victim's father was not present at home when the gun went off. After hearing the gunshot, the family members rushed to the spot, but the girl died before she could be rushed to nearby health center. The police team from police post Palmar immediately rushed to the spot and took the custody of the body. It also seized the weapon. Police later shifted the body to District Hospital Kishtwar for autopsy, besides it also started inquest proceedings U/S 174 CrPc. |
