| AAP holds BJP MLA Gagan guilty for shielding land mafia | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: Amandeep Singh Boparai, District Youth President, AAP Jammu has denounced the recent incident in which a wife and younger son of JCO of BSF (who is posted in North East) were beaten fatally by local land mafia namely Rohit Sharma alias Vicky Donger R/o Indira Nagar who is said to be BJP worker.
The elder son of JCO is also in BSF and is posted in Rajouri. Family has started construction of house on their registered plot which JCO has purchased 10-12 yrs back.
Land mafia is pressurizing family to sell their plot, he is stressing family that they are from schedule caste, so they can't build a house in locality of Poonchi Brahmins, said Amandeep Singh Boparai in a press conference held today.
On 30.11.16,in morning, Vicky Donger physically assaulted the wife of JCO and his son, in which JCO's son got fracture in his arm and accused tore away part of his ear too.
Moreover he tore away clothes of lady and bitten her also. Family approached nearest Police Station, Miran Sahib & FIR was lodged in this regard but Police didn't acted swiftly.
In evening, when family was getting treated for wounds in Govt Medical Collage, Jammu, accused reached there with his friends and again assaulted the family in front of everyone. Staff and public came in help and attackers tried to flee the spot but main accused was caught and handed over to Police, GMC Hospital but no chargesheet was filed and in the morning he was released from Police Station.
The elder son of family, Kamal Kishore, who is in BSF, was also present in Press Conference, said that accused is threatening them stating he has close ties with BJP's sitting MLA from RS Pura, Gagan Bhagat and police can't take action against him.
He has also threatened that if family tried to come near their house, he will kill them all. Family of JCO is very frightened and is living in their relative's house. Wife of JCO said that BJP claims that it has respect for soldiers and is working for their welfare.
He questioned BJP Govt that is this Woman Empowerment and respect for Soldiers who are laying their lives on border for country. Her husband and elder son are guarding the borders of country and State Govt has totally failed to protect us. She expressed gratitude to AAP & Media persons, who have come in support of her family Amandeep Singh Boparai said that Police has failed to act swiftly in arresting the accused which nerved the accused to attack again that too in a Police protected Govt Hospital. It clearly indicates the involvement of SHO, Miran Sahib, as he is delaying arrest.
He demanded a Departmental inquiry by higher Police authorities in this regard. He further said that Discrimination on basis of caste system is condemnable and is also a punishable offence in India He said AAP will raise this issue with all concerned authorities and will give letters to Governor, Div Comm. DC Jammu, IG J&K Police. SSP Jammu. and Human Rights Commission in this regard
Vipul Bali, State President, AAP (Youth) was also present and he said Gagan Bhagat, MLA.R S Pura should clear his stand on this issue. He also called upon BJP Jammu to clear their stand also He said Political parties should not shelter criminals and AAP condemn whosever is doing such dirty politics Manjeet Singh Sonu, Karanvir, Himanshu, Ankit, Rakesh Lakhotra were among other AAP volunteers were present. |
