Srinagar, Feb 15: A police officer was placed under suspension in July 2014, after he refused to tender an apology to the close relatives of the former Rural Development Minister and incumbent General Secretary of National Conference Ali Mohammad Sagar.
The Sub inspector of Police Syed Waseem Jehangir had to face Sagar's ire when he entered into the ancestral house of the senior National Conference leader while chasing a group of stone pelters, whom the officer had claimed took refuge inside the Sagar's ancestral home at Nawab Bazar in old city.
