Kathua residents stage protest against PHE 7/16/2013 10:44:20 PM KATHUA, July 16 : Residents of Ward Number 7 Kathua town today staged protest demonstration against Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department for supplying unhygienic and contaminated potable water in the area. The protest was led by senior youth Congress leaders, Pawan Sharma and Ravinder Paul Singh Neetu. Protestors raised slogans against PHE department for its failure to provide potable water to the people of the area. Addressing the protestors, Pawan Sharman alleged that residents of the Ward Number 7 are being supplied contaminated water for three weeks as a result many people have fallen ill due to water borne diseases. He said that we have approached the concerned PHE officials a number of times in this regard but department didn't take any step.
